In this article, we will cover how to set up a trigger for a newly created HubSpot record, see the article HubSpot Record Update Trigger for how to set up triggers for record updates.

  1. Add a HubSpot Company Created Trigger: Create a workflow with a HubSpot Company Created Trigger, use an existing workflow with a HubSpot Company Created Trigger, or change an existing workflow's trigger type to a HubSpot Company Created Trigger.

  2. Add HubSpot connection: If you haven't already, connect your HubSpot account to Cassidy. This will allow Cassidy to access your HubSpot records and trigger workflows based on new record creation.

  3. Add filters (optional): If you want to trigger the workflow only for specific records, click on the "Add Filter" button. This allows you to set conditions based on the record's properties. For example, you can trigger the workflow only when a company's industry is set to "Technology."

  4. Reference the HubSpot variables: In the rest of your workflow, you can use various variables from the HubSpot Company Created Trigger to map to corresponding HubSpot properties. This allows you to use the record data throughout your workflow.

  5. Activate the trigger: In the HubSpot Company Created Trigger block, click the toggle switch to turn it on.

*Note: The HubSpot Record Created Trigger will not activate the workflow for existing records. It only triggers the workflow when a new record is created in HubSpot after the trigger has been set up.
