Cassidy's Meeting Recorder automatically joins your meetings to capture conversations, generate transcripts, and power AI-driven insights across your organization. This article will guide you through connecting your calendar and configuring your meeting recording preferences.
Navigate to Meetings: Click on "Meetings" in the left sidebar of your Cassidy workspace.
Complete meetings setup: Click "Connect" to begin the meetings setup process.
Select calendar integration: Choose your calendar provider from the available options, such as "Google Calendar" or "Microsoft Outlook."
Authorize access: Allow and authorize Cassidy to access your calendar by following the authentication prompts for your selected calendar provider.
Configure automatic joining preferences: Choose which meetings Cassidy should automatically join from the following options:
All scheduled meetings
Meetings where I am the host
Meetings where participants are outside @cassidyai.com
Meetings where participants are within @cassidyai.com
Only meetings I manually select
Click "Save and Complete Setup" to finalize your preferences.
Disconnect calendar (optional): You can disconnect your calendar at any point by clicking the "Settings" tab, then clicking "Disconnect," and confirming by clicking "Disconnect" again in the popup modal.
Configure bot appearance and behavior: From the Settings page, you can customize your meeting bot's:
Display Name
βNote: Cassidy merges participants based on Display Name. If multiple users have the same Display Name for their meetings setup, it will only show one additional participant, but everyone's recording will be captured. Email summary preferences: "Send to everyone invited," "Send to participants from @gmail.com," "Send only to me," or "Do not send email summaries"
Manage upcoming meetings: Go to the "Upcoming" tab to view your next meetings. You can toggle off specific meetings by clicking the "Cassidy will join automatically" toggle.
Handle recurring meetings: For recurring meetings, you can choose to "Update only this meeting" or "Update all occurrences" when making changes. These settings can be toggled back on if needed.
Add to live meetings: You can add the meeting recorder to any meeting that has already started by clicking "Add to Live Meeting," copying and pasting the Meeting URL, and then clicking "Add."
βWhen the meeting recorder joins (whether automatically or manually added), it will need to be admitted to the meeting by a participant or host.
