How to set up and use Export as PDF action
Converts document content into a PDF file that can be downloaded or attached to other actions. Follow these steps:
Add an Export as PDF action: While editing a workflow, click the plus button between existing blocks. This will open a modal where you can select from Cassidy's pre-configured actions. Choose the Export as PDF action to add it to your workflow.
Rename the action (if needed): If you want to make the action more descriptive or easier to reference as a variable later, enter a new name.
Enter "Document Name": Provide a name for your PDF document. This will be the filename when the PDF is generated.
Enter "Document Content": In this field, you'll define the content of your PDF document. You can mix hardcoded text that remains the same each time with variables that change based on the inputs from the trigger or previous steps.
Variables are inputs from the trigger, or outputs from previous steps
Preview and download the PDF: After running the workflow, you can preview the generated PDF and download it by clicking the icons next to the action in the results panel.
Optionally, attach the PDF to other actions: You can use the generated PDF as an attachment in other actions like Send Email. Simply reference the PDF output from this action when configuring email attachments.
