Cassidy allows you to transfer Workflows between organizations or create backups by exporting and importing Workflow files as JSON format. This feature is useful for sharing automations with team members, moving Workflows to different organizations, or maintaining backup copies of your work.

Export a Workflow

Transfer your Workflow to another organization or create a backup copy.

  1. Open the Workflow: Navigate to the Workflows page and click on the Workflow you want to export.

  2. Access the Edit Workflow tab: Click on the "Edit Workflow" tab to open the Workflow editor.

  3. Open settings: Click the settings icon in the top right corner of the editor.

  4. Export the Workflow: Select "Export Workflow" from the dropdown menu. This will download the Workflow as a JSON file to your machine.

Import a Workflow

Bring an existing Workflow into your current organization.

  1. Start creating a new Workflow: Click "Create Workflow" from the Workflows page.

  2. Select Import Workflow: Instead of choosing "Custom Setup" or "Use a Starting Point," click "Import Workflow."

  3. Upload the Workflow file: Upload the Workflow JSON file by either dragging it into the designated area or clicking to browse and select the file from your machine.

  4. Complete the import: Click "Import Workflow" to add the Workflow to your current organization.

The imported Workflow will retain all its original settings, actions, and configurations, but you may need to reconnect any integrations or update credentials specific to your organization.
