How to select and switch Agents in a chat
Cassidy's chat interface allows you to easily select and switch between AI Agents during your conversations. This article will guide you through the process of selecting an Agent within the chat interface.
Start a new chat: To select an Agent, begin by clicking the "New Chat" button in the left sidebar or on the "All Chats" page.
Open the Agents dropdown: At the top of the chat interface (or in the text box), click on the Agents dropdown to view the available Agents.
Browse available Agents: The dropdown will display a list of Agents, including:
Custom Agents: These are Agents tailored to your organization's specific needs and trained on your knowledge base items. See Agents collection for more info.
Default Agents: Cassidy provides a set of default Agents, including foundational models like GPT-4, Claude 3 Opus, and Gemini Pro. These Agents are not trained on your organization's knowledge base but can still help with general tasks.
Cassidy's pre-built Agents: Cassidy offers pre-built Agents for common use cases, such as the Data Analyst, as well as the Cassidy Help and Use Case Agent.
Edit or favorite an Agent: If you need to modify an Agent or mark it as a favorite for quick access, you can do so directly from the Agents dropdown. Click the "Edit" or "Favorite" buttons next to the Agent's name.
Select an Agent: Click on the Agent you want to use for your current chat. The chat interface will update to reflect your selection.
Start chatting: Once you've selected an Agent, you can begin chatting with it by typing your message in the text box at the bottom of the chat interface. The Agent will respond based on its training and the knowledge base items it has access to.

βIf you click a citation, it will navigate you to the source file in your knowledge base.Switch Agents within a chat: If you need to change Agents during a conversation, simply click on the Agents dropdown and select a different Agent. The chat will continue with the newly selected Agent, allowing you to seamlessly switch between Agents as needed.
