How to run a workflow in a chat

Cassidy's chat interface allows you to run workflows directly within a conversation, streamlining your processes and enabling you to access powerful automation tools without leaving the chat.

This article will guide you through the steps of running a workflow in a chat.

  1. Start a new chat: Begin by clicking the "New Chat" button in the left sidebar or on the "All Chats" page.

  2. Access the workflows: In the text box, click the "Workflows" button to view a list of available workflows.

  3. Select a workflow: From the list of workflows, click on the one you want to run within the current chat. For more information on creating and managing workflows, please refer to the Workflows collection.

  4. Fill out the workflow form: After selecting a workflow, a form will replace the chat's text box. This form contains fields that correspond to the inputs required by the chosen workflow. Fill out the form with the necessary information.

  5. Generate results: Once you have completed the form, click the "Generate" button to initiate the workflow. Cassidy will process the inputs and execute the workflow.

  6. Review the results: The workflow's output will be displayed within the chat, allowing you to review the generated results.

  7. Continue the conversation: After running a workflow, you can continue the conversation by asking questions or providing additional context related to the results. This allows you to clarify outputs, refine inputs, and explore alternative scenarios based on the workflow's results, helping you make informed decisions.

By following these steps, you can easily run workflows directly within your Cassidy chats, harnessing the power of automation to streamline your processes and boost productivity.
