How to manage Agent permissions

Cassidy provides flexible options for managing access and permissions for your Agents, ensuring that team members have access to the tools they need while maintaining security and control.

You can manage Agent permissions by organizing them into folders with different access types or by updating permissions directly when editing an Agent.

Managing permissions from the Agents page

  1. Create Agent folders: You can manage access to Agents by organizing them into folders. When creating a folder, you can choose between three access types:

    • Team can edit: Anyone in your organization can edit

    • Team can view: Anyone in your organization can view but not edit

    • Restricted: Only select people and groups can access
*For more information on creating Agent folders, please refer to the article on creating Agent folders.

  2. Update folder permissions: To modify the permissions for an Agent folder:

• Open folder sharing options: Find the folder you want to modify and click the "..." to open up the options. Then, click "Share".

    • Adjust the access type: If needed, change the access type between "Team can edit", "Team can view", and "Restricted".

    • Add or remove people and groups: If you have selected "Restricted" access, you can add or remove specific people or groups who should have access to the folder. To add people, simply start typing their names or email addresses, and select them from the list. For each person or group you add, you can set granular permissions by selecting either "Can edit" or "Can view" to control their level of access to the folder. To add or remove groups, refer to the article on creating and managing groups for more information.

    • Save changes: After making the necessary modifications, click the "Done" button to apply the changes to the folder's permissions.

  3. Make Agents private: To make an Agent private, you can drag and drop it into the private section or any private folders you have.

Managing permissions directly from the Agent editor

You can also update Agent permissions directly when editing an Agent:

  1. Open the Agent editor: Navigate to the Agent you want to modify and click on the "Edit Agent" tab.

2. Access sharing options: Click the "..." (more options) ellipsis menu and under "Sharing", click "Organize & Share Agent".

  3. Create folders (optional): A modal will open where you can optionally create folders directly in Team or Private sections by entering an Agent folder name and selecting the general access options.

  4. Select Agent location: Choose where to save the Agent - Team, Private, or one of the folders within them.

  5. Save changes: Click "Save" to apply the permission changes.

By utilizing Cassidy's Agent folders and group-based permissions, you can ensure that your team members have access to the AI Agents they need while maintaining the necessary level of control and security.
