How to set up and use trigger

Run the workflow from a Zapier Zap. Follow these steps:

*For more information on the integration needed, visit the related article in the Integrations collection.

  1. Add a Zapier Trigger: Create a workflow with a Zapier Trigger, use an existing workflow with a Zapier Trigger, or change an existing workflow's trigger type to a Zapier Trigger.

  2. Click Finish Setup on Zapier: In the Zapier Trigger block, click the "Finish Setup on Zapier" button. This will redirect you to Zapier, where you can login or sign up and complete the setup process.

*You can also search for a specific integration app and select "Click to Open in Zapier" to create the Zap automatically

  3. Create a Zap: In Zapier, create a new Zap. Choose a trigger event for your Zap, such as "New Form Response in Google Forms". Then, for the action step, select "Run Workflow in Cassidy".

  4. Map the Cassidy Zapier Trigger input fields: In the Zapier action step, map the input fields of your Cassidy Zapier Trigger to the corresponding data from your Zap trigger event.

  5. Publish and activate the Zap: Once you have configured your Zap, click the "Publish" button to save and activate it. Ensure that the Zap is turned on so that it can trigger your Cassidy workflow when the specified event occurs.

  6. Configure the rest of your workflow: Back in Cassidy, you can now use the inputs from Zapier in the rest of your workflow. The workflow will automatically run the next actions when triggered by the Zap.
