How to upload folders

Uploading entire folders to your knowledge base is an efficient way to add multiple documents at once, while preserving the folder structure and organization. This allows you to quickly expand your knowledge base and provide Cassidy's AI with more context about your business.

Here's how to upload folders to your knowledge base:

  1. Navigate to the Knowledge Base: Click on the "Knowledge Base" section in the left sidebar of your Cassidy homepage.

  2. Select a location: Choose the appropriate location where you want to upload your folder. This can be the main Knowledge Base area or an existing folder or collection.

  3. Click the "+ New" button: In the top-right corner of the selected location, click on the "+ New" button to open the upload options.

  4. Choose "Upload Folders": From the dropdown menu, select "Upload Folder" to initiate the folder upload process.

  5. Select the folder: A file browser window will appear, allowing you to navigate and select the folder you want to upload. Cassidy will maintain the structure of your folder and any sub-folders within it.

  6. Wait for the upload to complete: Cassidy will start uploading the selected folder and its contents to your knowledge base. The upload time may vary depending on the size of the folder and your internet connection speed.

Important notes:

  • Avoid uploading excessively large folders, as this may cause your browser to crash or exceed your knowledge base storage limits.

  • Keep the upload tab open to ensure all files are successfully uploaded.

  • Cassidy will only import supported file types within the folder. Refer to the Uploading documents article for a list of supported file types.

By uploading entire folders to your knowledge base, you can quickly add a large number of related documents and maintain their organization. This helps Cassidy's AI to better understand the context and relationships between the documents, leading to more accurate and relevant assistance.
