# Box for Workflows

> Trigger Workflows from Box file events and automate file operations.

Use Box to trigger [Workflows](/workflows/overview) from file events and automate file operations.

## Connect your account

1. Open a Box trigger or action in the [Workflow builder](/workflows/overview).
2. Click **Connect**.
3. Sign in with Box.
4. Click **Grant access to Box** to authorize.

## Available triggers

| Trigger    | Description                        |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------- |
| New File   | Fires when a new file is uploaded  |
| New Folder | Fires when a new folder is created |
| New Event  | Fires when a new event occurs      |

## Available actions

| Action                  | Description                              |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| Upload File             | Upload a new file to a folder            |
| Search for Content      | Search files and folders by keyword      |
| Get Comments            | Retrieve comments on a file              |
| Upload New File Version | Upload a new version of an existing file |
| Download File           | Download a file for use in later steps   |
