How to connect and import ServiceNow content to Cassidy
Connecting your ServiceNow instance to Cassidy enables you to sync knowledge base items and service catalog items, including attachments on catalog items and knowledge articles. This integration allows you to leverage the power of AI-assisted search and analysis within Cassidy while maintaining your existing ServiceNow structure.
To connect your ServiceNow instance to Cassidy, follow these steps:
Access Account Settings: Click on your name in the bottom left of the sidebar, then click the settings icon next to your name.
Navigate to Connected Apps: Once in the Account Settings, click "Connected Apps".
Initiate ServiceNow connection: Click the "Connect ServiceNow" button to start the integration process.
Fill out connection details: A modal will pop up, asking you to provide your ServiceNow subdomain, Client ID, and Client Secret. Follow the steps in ServiceNow's documentation to configure your application registry, using the Cassidy Redirect URL and Cassidy Logo URL provided in the modal. Enter the required information in the respective fields.
Create connection: Once you have entered your subdomain, Client ID, and Client Secret, click the "Create Connection" button to establish the link between Cassidy and your ServiceNow instance.
Accept access request: Review the access request and click Allow to grant Cassidy permission to access your ServiceNow instance.
Connection established: Once you have created the connection, your ServiceNow instance will be connected to Cassidy.
If you ever need to disconnect the integration, simply click the "Disconnect" button.
Import ServiceNow content: In the Cassidy Knowledge Base, navigate to the import section (see the importing from external apps & integrations article in the Knowledge Base collection for more information). Select the desired ServiceNow knowledge base items and service catalog items and click "Import" to bring your content into Cassidy.
βContent from the selected knowledge base items and service catalog items will now be imported to the Cassidy Knowledge Base and synced regularly (see the syncing integrations article for more information).

βIf you haven't already connected the ServiceNow app, you can also initiate the connection process directly from the import section in the Knowledge Base.
