How to configure Default Assistants

As an organization admin, you can configure which default assistants are available to your organization. This feature is useful for limiting access to certain assistants for cost, compliance, or other organizational requirements. It also helps guide team members to use the best models (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for their specific use cases.

This feature can be accessed in:

*Customized Default Assistants do not apply when configuring the Base Model of a Custom Assistant or using the Generate Text block. All models will still be available here.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open Organization Settings: In your Cassidy dashboard, click your signed-in account name at the bottom of the left sidebar. Then, click the gear icon to the right of your “Current Organization” name.

  2. View Default Assistants: In “Organization Settings”, click “Default Assistants” under the “Assistants” section to view the list of “Enabled Default Assistants”.

  3. Configure Default Assistants: You can configure the “Default Assistants” list by removing existing “Enabled Default Assistants”, or by scrolling down to the “Add Default Assistants” section to add your preferred assistants.

    • Click on the “Remove” button to remove an Assistant from the list of “Enabled Default Assistants”.

    • Click on the “+ Add” button to add your preferred Assistants.

  4. Save Default Assistants: Scroll up and click “Save” in the top-right corner.

*The “Save” button is inactive by default and becomes active when you add or remove assistants.

    • After saving, a notification appears in the bottom-right corner confirming “Updated enabled default assistants.”

*You can also view your Default Assistants in the Assistants section of your dashboard. Select Assistants from the left sidebar, then choose Default from the expanded menu to see your updated list of Default Assistants.

Using Default Assistants in Chat

You can use the “Default Assistants” in “Chat”. On the “New Chat” page, open the Assistant selector dropdown and choose “Default” to select an Assistant from your “Default Assistants” list.
