How to connect and import Slack channels to Cassidy
You can easily import Slack channels to Cassidy's Knowledge Base. This allows you to ask questions and easily surface content, insights, and business information hidden in your Slack channels. Connecting your Slack workspace to Cassidy enables you to leverage the power of AI-assisted search and analysis within Cassidy while maintaining your existing Slack structure.
To connect your Slack workspace to Cassidy, follow these steps:
Access Account Settings: Click on your name in the bottom left of the sidebar, then click the settings icon next to your name.
Navigate to Connected Apps: Once in the Account Settings, click Connected Apps.
Initiate Slack connection: Click the Connect Slack button to start the integration process.
Log in to Slack: A popup window will appear, prompting you to log in to your Slack account if you are not already logged in.
Accept access request: Review the access request and click Accept to grant Cassidy permission to access your Slack channels.
Connection established: Once you have accepted the access request, your Slack account will be connected to Cassidy.
*If you ever need to disconnect the integration, simply click the Disconnect button.
Import Slack channels: In the Cassidy knowledge base, navigate to the import section (see the importing from external apps & integrations article in the Knowledge Base collection for more information). Select the desired Slack channels and click Import to bring your content into Cassidy.
*Content from the selected files and folders will now be imported to the Cassidy knowledge base and synced regularly (see the syncing integrations article for more information).

Open trigger or action settings: Click on a Slack trigger or action within your workflow to open its settings.
Initiate connection: Click the Connect button to start the Slack connection process for the trigger or action.
Create a new connection: Click the New Connection button to establish a new link between Cassidy and your Slack workspace.
Accept access request: Review the access request and click Allow to grant Cassidy permission to interact with your Slack workspace for the specific trigger or action.
Manage connections: You can view any shared connections within the trigger or action settings. If you click the "..." next to your own connections, you can choose to reconnect (if the connection is ever lost) or delete the connection.
