How to connect and import Jira issues to Cassidy

Connecting your Jira account to Cassidy allows you to seamlessly import and sync your Jira issues as part of your knowledge base. This integration enables you to leverage the power of AI-assisted search, analysis, and automation within Cassidy while maintaining your existing Jira project structure and issue organization.

To connect your Jira account to Cassidy and import issues, follow these steps:

Access Account Settings: Click on your name in the bottom left of the sidebar, then click the settings icon next to your name.

Navigate to Connected Apps: Once in the Account Settings, click Connected Apps.

Initiate Jira connection: Click the Connect Jira button to start the integration process.

Log in to Jira: A popup window will appear, prompting you to log in to your Jira account if you are not already logged in.

Accept access request: Review the access request and click Accept to grant Cassidy permission to access your Jira projects and issues.

Connection established: Once you have accepted the access request, your Jira account will be connected to Cassidy.

*If you ever need to disconnect the integration, simply click the Disconnect button.

Import Jira projects and issues: In the Cassidy knowledge base, navigate to the import section (see the <a href="https://docs.cassidyai.com/en/articles/9170985-importing-from-external-apps-integrations">importing from external apps &amp; integrations</a> article in the <a href="https://docs.cassidyai.com/en/collections/9119769-knowledge-base">Knowledge Base collection</a> for more information). Select the desired Jira projects, including their issues, and click Import to bring your content into Cassidy. You can also choose to import only specific issues if needed.

*Content from the selected projects and issues will now be imported to the Cassidy knowledge base and synced regularly (see the syncing integrations article for more information).

*If you haven't already connected the Jira app, you can also initiate the connection process directly from the import section in the knowledge base.
